Brandt is currently seeking a Director of Sales - Precision Agriculture for our Saskatoon Agricultural location, reporting to the Vice President of Sales - Agriculture. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction for focused Precision Agricultural product sales. This position is responsible for sales performance, market share, volume growth, and aligning sales objectives with Brandt’s business strategy.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieve sales goals and market share targets for the long-term success of Precision Agriculture’s business throughout the assigned territory.
- Assist in achieving asset management goals of turn and aging as well as protection of company assets.
- Provide assistance and guidance for forecasting the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and market share goals.
- Develop and execute effective sales and marketing programs including advertising initiatives to drive sales growth.
- Facilitate and promote corporate sales strategies and initiatives through active participation in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, resource planning, and budgeting.
- Interact with manufacturers to provide vital user information for new product development.
- Provide input on standard machine specifications and technology offerings.
- Utilize transaction pricing information to maximize market-based pricing and increase margins across equipment groups.
- Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and managing dedicated sales staff in the agricultural technology space.
- Focus on developing and retaining Precision Agriculture Specialists and Leads through sales techniques, proposals, training, demonstrations, and customer events.
- Travel to branches to develop multi-level selling processes with end users, understand market challenges, and ensure key accounts are targeted with appropriate sales strategies.
- Assist with negotiations of sales contracts with large customers.
- Support sales opportunities with large, challenging customers.
- Provide feedback on future opportunities and competitive pressures.
- Establish and maintain strong public relations with communities, civic, political, and industry personnel.
- Participate in industry events, promoting Brandt and its divisions.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the VP of Sales - Agriculture on a regular basis.
