Job Title : Director of Sales – Flexographic Packaging

Company Overview :

Our client, a leading provider of innovative and high-quality flexographic packaging solutions, is looking for a Director of Sales to join their leadership team. They specialize in the production of flexible packaging for a wide range of industries, including food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to lead our dynamic sales team and drive growth in a competitive marketplace.

Position Overview :

The Director of Sales will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations and strategy of our flexographic packaging division. This is a leadership role requiring a strategic thinker with strong sales acumen and experience in the packaging industry. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader, skilled in building relationships, managing high-performing sales teams, and driving revenue growth through effective business development and customer acquisition strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Strategy Development & Execution : Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and increase customer acquisition across various industries.
  • Team Leadership & Management : Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team. Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching to help the team meet and exceed targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
  • Market Expansion : Identify new business opportunities and markets for flexographic packaging, including exploring untapped industries and regions.
  • Sales Reporting & Analysis : Monitor and analyze sales performance, using data to drive decisions and continuously improve sales strategies. Report on KPIs, market trends, and competitive activities to senior leadership.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with other departments, including production, operations, and marketing, to ensure customer requirements are met and new product developments are effectively communicated to the market.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management : Lead key negotiations and ensure favorable terms with both new and existing clients. Oversee contract management processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Customer Insights & Market Intelligence : Stay up to date with industry trends, market demands, and customer needs. Provide insights to guide product development and enhance customer value propositions.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the flexographic packaging industry or a related manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, meeting sales targets, and expanding market share.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of flexographic printing and packaging technologies, materials, and industry standards.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
