DIRECTOR OF SALES - CANADA - AGRICULTURE

Grasslands Recruitment Specialists has been retained to recruit a Director of Sales to lead the organization’s strategic direction, operations, administration, and sales efforts in Canada. This leadership role will oversee the development and execution of a go-to-market strategy, strengthen existing distribution partnerships, expand market channels, and drive overall profitability.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE DIRECTOR OF SALES

The Director of Sales holds national accountability and responsibility to achieve sales budget. You will have a strong focus on achieving growth and profitability targets, as well as providing strategic, operational, and sales leadership for a team of 10 to 12 industry professionals. You will work in close collaboration with Canadian Directors of Finances and Operations, and international headquarters to execute agreed-upon sales and marketing strategies, oversee dealer development and management, and ensure alignment across financial, administrative, and sales functions. You will represent the company to all external stakeholders, lead and support your team in meeting performance objectives, manage staffing and recruitment, and ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and dealer agreements. Additionally, you will foster a high-performance culture, enhance internal processes, and drive customer engagement through product launches, trade events, and strategic dealer relationships.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is an office and field-based position.

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS EXCITING OPPORTUNITY?

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Identified background in farming and agriculture, specific ag equipment experience is a strong asset.
  • 10+ years of successful sales leadership in agricultural machinery, with experience driving deals and negotiating pricing through direct and dealer channels.
  • Proven dealer relationship management.
  • Solid technical aptitude paired with excellent communication and intercultural skills.
  • Proven ability to build deep customer and dealer relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, both nationally and internationally.
  • Skilled in developing strategies and translating them into actionable, results-driven plans.
  • International experience, ideally with a European company or in an intercultural environment.
