Position : Director of SalesLocation : InnisfilOur client in the building materials industry, located in Innisfil, is seeking a Director of Sales to lead and develop their technical sales team across North America. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, shaping sales strategy, and mentoring a team of 4-5 Technical Sales Representatives. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of hands-on technical sales experience, strategic thinking, and team leadership.Responsibilities : - Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Technical Sales Representatives, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive business growth and expand market share across North America- Oversee team KPIs, pipeline development, and performance metrics to ensure accountability and continuous improvement- Support team members in high-level client engagements, offering guidance on technical sales strategies and product application- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, logistics, marketing, and manufacturing) to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction- Contribute to the development of technical sales materials and marketing initiatives, including trade shows and promotional content- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and product positioning- Represent the sales function in senior leadership discussions and business planning initiativesKey Qualifications : - Post-secondary education in material science, engineering, construction technology, or a related field- 5+ years of progressive experience in technical sales, preferably within the building materials or construction sector- Industry experience with dry mortars, lightweight aggregates, or related additives (e.g., methylcelluloses, starch ethers, air-entraining agents) is highly preferred- Familiarity with dry mortar machinery or aggregates used in building and construction is considered a strong asset- Prior experience leading a high-performing sales team- Strong business acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms- Willingness and ability to travel as required across North America, including the US and MexicoThis role is ideal for a results-driven sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, technically complex environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact in a growing organization.To apply, please send your resume to Misha Ishaq at misha.ishaq@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
