Position Description

We are seeking a dynamicand results-driven Director of Sales to lead our Solid Waste Servicein Alberta. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible fordeveloping and implementing strategic sales initiatives to driverevenue growth, expand market presence, and achieve businessobjectives. This is a senior leadership position that requires astrong background in sales management, extensive knowledge of thesolid waste industry (or equivalent transferable knowledge), and aproven track record of driving sales success.

PositionResponsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development:Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with thecompany's overall business objectives and growth targets. Identify newmarket opportunities, establish sales goals, and create action plansto achieve them.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead,motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team across Alberta.Provide guidance, coaching, and training to maximize their saleseffectiveness. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented salesculture.
  • Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth byactively pursuing new business opportunities, expanding existingaccounts, and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.Develop and implement effective sales techniques, pricing strategies,and negotiation tactics.
  • Market Expansion: Identify andevaluate potential markets, industry trends, and customer needs inAlberta. Develop and execute plans to penetrate new markets, diversifyrevenue streams, and position the company as a preferred environmentalservices provider.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Buildand maintain strong relationships with key customers, industrystakeholders, and strategic partners. Understand their needs, addressconcerns, and provide value-added solutions to enhance customersatisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Performance Analysis:Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue,market share, and sales pipeline. Identify areas for improvement,develop corrective actions, and report regularly to senior managementon sales achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams,including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamlesscoordination of sales efforts, delivery of high-quality services, andachievement of customer satisfaction targets.
  • IndustryKnowledge and Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations, markettrends, and competitive landscape in the solid waste sector. Ensuresales activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethicalstandards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relatedfield.
  • Proven track record of at least 8 years in salesmanagement, preferably in the solid waste industry.
  • Strongleadership skills and experience managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of the Alberta's market and its specificsolid waste requirements.
  • Excellent communication,negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Results-orientedmindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and executesales strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and financialliteracy.
  • Ability to travel frequently within Alberta.
