We are seeking a visionary Director of R&D with extensive experience in the plastics industry, particularly in polymer processing for blown and cast film extrusion, to lead the strategic direction and execution of our research and development initiatives. This role will be key in driving innovation, advancing material technologies, and developing high-performance products aligned with market demands and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the R&D strategy in line with corporate vision as a strategic leader.
• Identify research opportunities, monitor industry trends, regulatory requirements, competitor products, and advancements in processes, materials, and products.
• Lead development and innovation efforts with cross-functional teams to enhance sustainability, performance, processes, productivity, cost-efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Partner with suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and academic institutions to explore emerging technologies and materials.
• Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and technical forums, showcasing innovations and enhancing brand reputation.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing R&D team.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related fields.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in plastics manufacturing, with expertise in blown and cast film extrusion preferred.
• Proven track record of bringing products from concept to production.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards, sustainability practices, and global market trends.
• Proficiency in data analysis, process simulation, and design software.
• Visionary leadership with a passion for innovation and excellence.
• Collaborative approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders.
