Overview

Our client, a leading North American food and beverage company, is looking for a Director, Food Safety & Quality Assurance to join its senior operations leadership team. This role is based at the corporate office in the GTA and will lead food safety and quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a North American QA team
• Champion a company-wide food safety culture and QA roadmap
• Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and customer standards
• Maintain certifications (SQF, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance) and lead audits
• Act as recall coordinator and pandemic response lead
• Collaborate on commercialization, product development, and equipment qualification
• Analyze quality data and customer feedback to drive improvements
• Manage QA budget and apply statistical process controls
• Set FSQA strategy and annual objectives leveraging KPI to track progression and continuous improvement

What You Bring

• 10+ years in food safety, regulatory affairs, and product quality
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
• Experience in coffee, tea, or aseptic manufacturing is a plus
• Strong knowledge of FDA, SFCR, FSMA, and GFSI standards
• Skilled in GMPs, HACCP, and SQF; audit experience required
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
