Job description

Our Torontol-based, International fashion client requires a Director of People & Culture who will lead the development and implementation of all People & Culture functions, including elevating the employee experience, spearheading employee relations, hiring & onboarding, leading training & development, employee retention & engagement, and overseeing compensation and benefits. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert advisor to the Senior Management Team and ensure policies and practices follow all applicable provincial / federal legislation. This role requires both strategic and hands-on duties, and a passion for developing and implementing HR strategy, programs and processes to support organizational objectives, and a flexible approach to adapt to rapidly changing needs.

Recruitment

HQ and Warehouse Operations :

  • Responsible for elevating the overall employee experience and ensuring all work environments are on-brand and exude the company culture.
  • Work with the Senior Management Team to help identify and plan hiring needs.
  • Work with Recruitment Agencies to source talent.
  • Help facilitate offers and employment agreements with the Senior Management Team.

  • Help write and facilitate On-boarding and Corporate Policy Training.

Training & Development

HQ and Warehouse Operations :

  • Provide On-boarding and Corporate Policy Training for new employees.
  • Organize and maintain all training material and SOP’s for each department.
  • Maintain and adjust company policies and procedures as needed.
  • Work with managers to prepare for performance review meetings.
  • Schedule performance review meetings for managers and employees.
  • Help facilitate any training as required by employees or management.
