Job summary

Oneida Nation of the Thames is seeking an experienced Parametric Chief to direct provincially mandated paramedic programs and ensure high-quality service delivery. This role reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and carries full accountability for budgeting, staffing, policy development and program evaluation.

The incumbent serves as the Division’s primary HR authority, maintains compliance with legislation and standards, and contributes to organizational strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum progressive management experience within a paramedic service, including direct supervision of management-level staff.
• Demonstrated knowledge and interpretation of Ontario paramedic service legislation and regulations (Ambulance Act, EMCPA, HTA, provincial standards).
• Experience administering an annual operating budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Experience in labour relations, including collective agreement administration, grievance management, and progressive discipline.
• Experience preparing and administering grant and funding applications to provincial ministries or other funders.
• Ability to lead strategic planning, policy development and community development for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of provincially mandated programs within the division.
• Develop annual business plans, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Maintain financial oversight and signing authority for the division.
• Oversee policy development and documentation within the division.
• Lead human resources management, including hiring and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate with CAO and divisions to align with organizational strategy.
• Engage with stakeholders and funders to secure grants and funding.
• Foster a learning organization with ongoing professional development.
