We are seeking a creative & passionateindividual with leadership skills to fill the role of Director of Operations.
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of ART Preschool including ensuring high-quality educational programming, implementation of specific health-related protocols, and managing staff, student enrolment, and parent communication.
- While a fully-licensed facility, the ART context is unique as you lead a small team of 2 educators in supporting a maximum of 10 learners in a home environment. This setting requires an “all hands-on deck” approach to day-to-day operations and offers the chance for a director to realize creative and innovative programming while also removing health-related barriers to social learning.
- You will work closely with the Board of Directors and Ministry to ensure ART Preschool operates in accordance with its internal policies and procedures, as well as the provincial Childcare Act and Regulations. The Director is expected to model and demonstrate professionalism and leadership to support a positive work environment and represent ART Preschool in the community.

Qualifications and Experience
- ECE III Diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience with demonstrated child care centre/day home management with knowledge of licensing requirements and childcare regulations is preferred
- Ability to manage people and program budgets
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, how to optimize the environment and preschool processes to ensure risk of illness is minimized
Additional experience viewed as beneficial:
- Experience with fostering creative expression through mediums of art, dramatic play, and music an asset
- Experience with outdoor education or forest school
- Experience in non-profit or co-operative daycare
- Experience in a Montessori or other discovery-based learning environment
- Experience with supporting neurodiverse children
Required Additional Certifications, Security and Safety Documentation
- Original criminal record check (vulnerable sector) dated within 3 months of start date
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates recognized in the province of Saskatchewan
- Safe Food Handling
- Due to the vulnerability of some of the children being cared for, the successful applicant must be fully immunized (including forCOVID-19) and prepared to provide immunization records
