Director of Operations and Administration

Venor is proud to partner with The Bluteau Caseley Wealth Management Team of National Bank Financial Group in their search for a Director of Operations and Administration.

For over 38 years, the Bluteau Caseley Wealth Management Team has been a trusted boutique wealth management firm in Halifax, dedicated to making a positive impact on their clients’ lives. Their mission is built on fostering long-term relationships with clients, team members, and the community, ensuring everyone is better off for having partnered with them. As an essential leader within the firm, the Director of Operations and Administration will drive operational excellence, aligning with the vision of the two Partners while ensuring seamless collaboration across a dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping workflows, leading the administrative team, and enhancing the premium client experience for their professional physician clientele. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong operational mindset, capable of translating the firm’s mission into actionable plans.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Strategic Leadership: shapes and operationalizes the Partners’ vision, mission, and goals through clear action plans and efficient workflows.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of three administrative professionals, fostering growth and accountability.
  • HR & Compliance: Manage HR functions, including scheduling, onboarding, vacation planning, and compliance.
  • Project Management: Oversee both recurring and one-off initiatives, including client events, seminars, and business development opportunities.
  • Client Experience: Ensure operational excellence to support a high-touch service model for discerning clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Associate Advisor, Financial Planner, and Business Development Manager to align roles and optimize team performance.
  • Liaison Role: Maintain strong relationships with National Bank Financial Group’s head office and external partners.

  • Discretion & Confidentiality: Trusted with sensitive financial, client, and personnel information.

As the ideal candidate, you have post-secondary education in the area of business administration or a related equivalent, combined with several years of experience in office management and people operations.
