Our client, a nationwide leader in turnkey technology infrastructure solutions (Wireline, Wireless, Engineering, and Technology), is hiring a Director of Operations to oversee underground fiber and utility installation projects across the U.S. This position can be located in one of the following locations : Nashville, TN | Cincinnati, OH | Houston, TX

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on leader who can manage multi-site telecom operations while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all levels of field execution.

What You’ll Do :

• Lead and manage construction crews, Project Managers, and Supervisors across multiple markets
• Oversee project schedules, financials (WIP, JCR, budgets), and jobsite performance
• Ensure full compliance with safety protocols and foster a culture of ZERO harm
• Drive procurement, logistics, and resource planning for all active projects
• Own project bidding, estimating, and change order processes
• Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Fleet, Accounting, Recruiting)
• Represent operations in strategic planning and process improvement meetings
• Hire, train, and mentor staff to meet company standards and growth goals

What You Bring :

7+ years in underground or aerial telecom construction

3–5+ years leading multi-market fiber installation projects

Strong understanding of safety regulations, contracts, and field logistics

Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)

High school diploma required; Bachelor’s in Construction Management or PMP certification is a plus
