We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Operations to oversee our client's industrial maintenance facilities in Lambton County. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing overall maintenance operations, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety across all site facilities. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in industrial maintenance, operational management, and team leadership preferably in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute operational strategies to optimize maintenance efficiency and productivity.
Oversee maintenance teams, including hiring, training, coaching and performance management.
Implement and enhance preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Manage maintenance budgets, including cost control and procurement of parts and equipment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes and operations.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align maintenance strategies with business objectives.
Analyze key performance metrics and develop action plans to drive operational success.
Qualifications & Experience
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Project Management: Experience in overseeing large-scale maintenance projects
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
Experience: Minimum 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Technology: Comfortable with Microsoft Suite, scheduling, estimate software
Personality: Receptive, open minded, adaptable, progressive
