As our care coordinator prepares to retire after more than 15 years of dedication, the Pallia-Vie palliative care home is seeking a Director of Nursing (DSI) to continue this vital mission.

Your Main Responsibilities
Nursing Component
  • Plan, organize, and evaluate patient care, ensuring quality and safety
  • Supervise clinical practices according to standards and best practices
  • Adapt work methods, procedures, and policies as needed
  • Assess clinical needs and coordinate resources
  • Collaborate with other managers and update care protocols
  • Develop incident prevention and infection control practices
Human Resources Component
  • Recruit, integrate, and retain staff (nurses, nursing assistants, attendants)
  • Plan schedules and manage absences using our IT platform
  • Provide support and guidance to teams
  • Supervise standards of practice, ethics, and training
  • Participate in internal committees, including CNESST
Administrative and Financial Aspects
  • Manage the nursing department budget and follow-ups
  • Oversee medical equipment procurement and maintenance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain ties with the Quebec Palliative Care Homes Alliance
Required Profile
  • University degree in nursing (Bachelor's required)
  • Management certification or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years nursing experience, including 5+ in management
  • Member in good standing of O.I.I.Q.
  • Experience in palliative/end-of-life care (asset)
  • Leadership, attentive listening, rigor, ability to manage complex situations
  • Fluent in French, good English skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools
