Who you are:

You’re an enthusiastic and experienced leader with a comprehensive engineering background who can lead the Materials Handling group within the Worley Consulting business. Your entrepreneurial skills will be a feature of your role identifying opportunities to support our clients, develop our people and set projects on the path to success.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Business Development

  • Coordinate sales efforts with Worley’s inside/outside Sales teams.
  • Work with discipline leads to identify trends, develop strategies and sales forecasts.
  • Actively engage with internal and external clients to seek out new opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals, execution strategies, cost estimating, and project scheduling.
  • Encourage positive working relationships with external parties.

Business Operations

  • Assist in recruiting, coaching and performance management of the team.
  • Attend project coordination meetings and liaise with project team members.
  • Monitor project progress through site visits and meetings.

Project Delivery

  • Facilitate meeting project requirements with discipline guidelines.
  • Drive innovative solutions and work with Project Management teams to address issues.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Oversee programs for technical competency and quality.
  • Support global standardization and use of drawing and document templates.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have a degree in mechanical, process or mechatronic engineering.
  • Be registered with, or be eligible for registration with, Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.

Additional requirements

  • Proven experience leading successful teams in Material Handling infrastructure projects.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong client relations.
