Job description

In a context of succession and growth, we are seeking an Operations Director to manage the manufacturing activities of two plants located in Quebec City, working closely with the production teams.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage all manufacturing operations: planning, purchasing, logistics, inventory management, continuous improvement, engineering, and technological projects.
  • Supervise the production and support teams: work organization, performance management, and skills development.
  • Implement operational excellence standards: quality, OHS, preventive maintenance, and operations coordination.
  • Deploy performance indicators and monitor results.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement in all areas under your responsibility.
  • Manage operational budgets and recommend investments necessary for growth.
  • Manage plant technology assets to optimize the use of information systems.
  • Lead automation and connectivity projects for the machine fleet.
Your profile for this challenge:
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in plant or multi-site operations management.
  • Motivating leadership, strategic acumen, and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing and supply chain project management.
  • Mastery of Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma principles is an asset. Comfortable with ERP systems and technology tools.
  • Intermediate level of English required (oral and written).
