Director of Manufacturing Engineering Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Streamline manufacturing operations
- Liaise with vendors to resolve issues.
- Ensure efficiency of all labor and meeting on hour standards for tasks.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design and development of new products and processes.
- Manage and support the implementation of new equipment and technology to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with quality control engineering and other departments to ensure that products meet quality and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
- Conduct cost analysis and make recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.
- Prepare technical reports presentations and documentation to communicate findings and progress.
- Mentor and train junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
Director of Manufacturing Engineering Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
- Must be able to travel between the US and Canada and have a valid passport
- Must be able to undertake a manufacturing startup including layout equipment needs power requirements and processes.
- Must be able to read engineering drawings review all mathematical calculations for accuracy and adherence to order specifications
