XSENSOR Technology Corporation – Calgary, Alberta

XSENSOR is seeking an individual to lead the manufacturing engineering and production operations for our world class pressure imaging products.

The Role

As Director of Manufacturing at XSENSOR, you will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of manufacturing operations for our market-leading pressure sensors systems. You will oversee a cross-functional team spanning procurement, production, quality, order management.

This is a high-impact leadership role with the opportunity to shape XSENSOR’s manufacturing strategy, scale operations, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet global customer and regulatory requirements. You will drive operational excellence across cost, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations & Process Development
  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, production planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Develop innovative manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and scalability targets
  • Drive manufacturing efficiency through Lean principles and continuous improvement
  • Oversee equipment, tooling, and facility requirements
  • Maintain PLM systems, including BOMs, part data, and cost structures
Capacity Planning & Order Fulfillment
  • Ensure manufacturing capacity and capabilities align with current and future product demand
  • Lead execution of production plans to meet global delivery commitments
  • Partner with Sales to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
New Product Introduction (NPI) & Change Management
  • Represent Manufacturing in NPI activities and product development
  • Lead transfer of designs and materials into production, ensuring readiness for launch
  • Implement and manage engineering changes (ECO/ECN) with minimal disruption
  • Ensure supply chain and capacity readiness for new product introductions
Quality & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure manufacturing compliance with ISO 17025, 13485, FDA, Health Canada, and applicable regulatory standards

  • Partner with Quality to maintain product quality, traceability, and documentation
  • Lead resolution of nonconformances and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Represent XSENSOR in audits and regulatory inspections
  • Develop and maintain a robust supply strategy to ensure continuity and mitigate risk
  • Lead supplier selection, qualification, and performance management
  • Support negotiations with suppliers and manufacturing partners
  • Own manufacturing cost structure, including labor, materials, and overhead
  • Develop and manage manufacturing budgets and capital expenditures
  • Identify and execute cost reduction and process optimization initiatives
  • Ensure sound financial decision-making across all manufacturing activities
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team
  • Establish clear goals, accountability, and performance metrics
  • Plan and scale resources to support company growth
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

  • Delivery & Performance: Meet production schedules, delivery commitments, and operational KPIs
  • Cost & Efficiency: Achieve cost targets and drive continuous improvement
  • Communication: Provide clear reporting of performance, risks, and operational status
Success Profile
  • Proven leadership in manufacturing operations, ideally in a regulated or medical device environment
  • Strong understanding of ISO Compliant QMS and global regulatory requirements
  • Experience scaling manufacturing from development to production
  • Demonstrated success in cost management, process optimization, and supply chain leadership
  • Experience with PLM software (ARENA), Salesforce and Microsoft 365 features
  • 5+ years related manufacturing and engineering work experience with post-secondary education in Engineering, Technology or Business
  • You are passionate about people leadership and building high performance teams.
