Commercial Properties Limited (CPL) is a commercial real estate development and property management company based in Saint John New Company was incorporated in January 1964 andhas been developing and managing properties in Eastern Canada for over fifty years owning and managing a portfolio in excess of one million square feet.

Our property portfolio includes Commercial and Industrial Warehouse space as well as Class A office space in many Maritime communities. We are also pleased to develop and build commercial real estate projects. To date we have developed built and leased prime office retail and light industrial locations throughout Eastern Canada and continue to look for new opportunities.

Another source of pride for us is our experience in restoration and preservation of heritage buildings. Some of our historic buildings originally built in the nineteenth century have been repurposed into modern multiuse structures that will endure for future generations.

We have a new opportunity for a Director Leasing who is responsible for providing direction leadership and management for all aspects of the real estate leasing and property management function.

Position Scope :

• Oversee the direction of leasing activities providing guidance to the leasing team and making recommendations to seniorleadership during the lease approval process.
• Develop and maintain a rental strategy across the real estate portfolio on a strategic and operational level.
• Represent the Company and build strong business relationships with current and future tenants and vendors.
• Maintain a high level of quality in the assets and service provided to our tenants.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment promoting teamwork collaboration and professional development. Through the management of a senior team in the functional areas of leasing and tenant relations.
• Steward the ESG strategy and Energy Management Information System (EMIS) for our properties and with our tenants.

Required Education and Experience :

• Postsecondary degree / diploma in Engineering or bachelors degree in business administration or a related field of study.
• Minimum 7 years experience working directly with Commercial Office and Industrial Property Management and experience directing and managing all aspects of real estate administration including negotiation of leases rent reviews contract amendments and consents.
• Possess a strong environmental health and safety mindset and up to date on current fire life safety and building codes.
• Excellent people management strong organizational & time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must have a strong customer service orientation while managing a breadth of responsibilities.
• Dynamic communicator who is comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization as well as with business owners tenants and suppliers.
• Critical thinking and problemsolving skills with a strong attention to detail.
