Job summary

Taproot Community Support Services is seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead our technology strategy, information systems and IT operations across three provinces. You’ll guide a team of system administrators and a data analyst, and partner with external IT providers to deliver secure, connected systems.

The role emphasizes Microsoft 365/SharePoint, Power BI reporting, data governance and responsible AI adoption with Copilot.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years IT management or similar role with track record of large system implementations.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365/Azure including SharePoint Online.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI; data governance knowledge.
• Hands-on experience rolling out AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
• Solid understanding of cyber security, risk management and compliance.
• Excellent team leadership, project management and change management skills.
• Certifications in PM or change management are assets.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an IT and digital strategy aligned with organizational goals; manage IT budget including licenses and cloud costs.
• Lead and develop the IT team (system admins, data analyst); set priorities and coach performance.
• Lead cross-functional projects with HR, Quality and programs to support adoption.
• Oversee core systems (Microsoft 365/SharePoint, ShareVision, Inclusion and iTacit) and data migration.
• Lead SharePoint governance, policies, and digital records management; oversee reports/dashboards in Power BI.
• Ensure security, backups, DR and business continuity; manage SLAs and IT metrics.
