Director of Information Technology (IT)

Groupe PARIMA is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of IT to lead all aspects of our technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT operations, and digital systems. This leader will be responsible for the management and execution of high-impact IT projects to support the organization’s growth and regulatory compliance. This is a key leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with senior leaders in operations, quality, finance, and product development.

Responsibilities :

  • Strategic IT Leadership

Develop and execute a multi-year IT strategy aligned with Groupe PARIMA’s growth, digital transformation, and compliance needs.

  • Advise the executive team on technology investments, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identify and prioritize key IT projects to support business objectives.
  • Infrastructure, Systems & Projects

Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud, endpoints).

  • Lead critical IT projects such as LIMS improvements, system migrations, software rollouts, and facility-wide upgrades.
  • Oversee vendor management and contractual agreements related to major systems and platforms.
  • Manage IT project timelines, budgets, stakeholder communication, and post-implementation performance reviews.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance

Design and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect corporate data.

  • Ensure IT readiness for client audits, regulatory inspections, and data integrity requirements.
  • Maintain policies and systems for backup, recovery, and disaster response.
  • Operational Excellence

Deliver efficient IT service to all users across departments, with minimal disruption.

  • Implement and monitor performance KPIs and IT governance practices.
  • Oversee internal documentation, SOPs, and end-user training programs.

Supervise existing IT staff (including current IT Technician).

  • Recruit and develop a strong IT team as the company grows
  • Foster a proactive, service-oriented IT culture focused on reliability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the sound financial management of the department and of IT investment projects.

Skills and experience required :

  • Minimum 8 years of IT leadership, including hands-on management of complex IT projects, infrastructure, and teams.

Experience in the implementation and validation of GxP-regulated computerized systems (pharma, biotech, medical devices) strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with GAMP 5, data integrity principles (ALCOA+) and implementation of technical controls to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.
  • Expertise in infrastructure, cybersecurity, LIMS platforms, cloud services, and Microsoft environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to scope, lead, and deliver multi-departmental IT projects on time and on budget.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field. (Certifications like PMP, CISSP, or CISM are strong assets.)
