About Kensington Grey

Kensington Grey is a culture-shaping influencer management agency representing the industy’s leading diverse creators across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and wellness. Our mission is to ensure that diverse voices are not only heard but centered in media, marketing, and entertainment. We take a holistic, long-term approach to talent management, working at the intersection of creativity, commerce, and community.

Position Summary

The Director of Talent is a senior role responsible for overseeing the growth, management, and performance of one of the talent teams in Kensington Grey’s talent division. This person will be a strategic leader, coach, and operator — charged with driving results across a team of talent managers while also providing elite, hands-on representation to a select group of high-performing, high-billing creators.

The ideal candidate will be equal parts people manager and talent strategist, comfortable rolling up their sleeves while guiding others. This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of the influencer space, and a demonstrated track record of scaling revenue and talent relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly manage a team of 3-5 reports, which may include Talent Managers, a Project Manager or a Talent Success Specialist.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development to your direct reports, ensuring high team morale and performance.
  • Oversee team workflows, roster allocations, and performance goals to ensure balance, growth, and accountability.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development across the broader talent division in collaboration with agency leadership and HR.

Elite Talent Management

  • Personally manage a small, high-value roster of top-tier creators who generate significant revenue and brand interest.
  • Provide strategic counsel, career development planning, and hands-on management to help these elite talents expand their influence, diversify their income streams, and scale their platforms.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for these creators, proactively sourcing opportunities and ensuring their long-term success.
  • Guide the team in developing multi-dimensional growth plans for their rosters, helping talent monetize across brand deals, content, licensing, products, events, and more.
  • Partner with internal teams (Brand Partnerships, Campaign Management, PR) to ensure creators are aligned with best-fit opportunities.
  • Monitor individual and team revenue performance and implement corrective action plans where necessary.

Creator Roster Development

  • Help assess and prioritize incoming talent leads to ensure a balanced, profitable, and high-potential agency roster.
  • Lead vetting processes for new talent signings, ensuring cultural alignment and commercial viability.
  • Track industry trends and platform shifts to stay ahead of the curve in identifying emerging talent.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure your team is upholding high standards for deal negotiation, communication, and relationship management.
  • Support internal process improvements and contribute to systems that streamline agency operations.
  • Serve as a senior liaison between the talent team and other departments to ensure clear communication and execution.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in influencer marketing, talent management, or entertainment.
  • 3+ years of people management experience, preferably within an agency or fast-paced media environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing top-tier talent and negotiating high-value deals.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and content monetization models.
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically — knowing when to lead and when to do.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

  • Committed to equity and passionate about elevating diverse voices.
  • Thoughtful, proactive, and results-driven with a “no task too small” mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with an ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by growth and change.
  • A trusted leader who can rally, support, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Competitive salary + performance-based bonus
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits
  • Paid vacation and generous company holidays
  • Direct access to industry-shaping creators and brand partners
