This position oversees the daily operation of the front desk and coordinates with areas impacting guest service. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and ensuring exceptional service, providing operational support, training, motivating, and recognizing team members. The role requires exercising independent judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities and Authorities
  • Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in all situations.
  • Display honesty and integrity.
  • Lead and motivate the Front Office Department, including Bell Persons, Lobby Hosts, and Assistant Front Office Managers.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate effectively with staff through reviews, training, and meetings.
  • Motivate and develop team members.
  • Maximize room sales, revenue, and profit.
  • Deliver outstanding service and create memorable guest experiences.
Specific Duties
  • Supervise the front office team to provide courteous service while maintaining acceptable profit margins.
  • Embrace and embody Arlo's core values and culture.
  • Assign and oversee work activities of Lobby Hosts and Bellmen.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members; prepare schedules and monitor labor costs.
  • Ensure completion of shift closings, deposits, refunds, and paperwork.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, complete incident reports, and follow up.
  • Manage same-day room inventory and rate yielding.
  • Take responsibility for resolving service issues and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Requirements

Education: A combination of education and experience providing the required skills. Qualifications may include:

  • Hospitality Diploma or Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a management position

Knowledge:

  • Hospitality or customer service experience
  • Opera & PBX experience
