  • Reports To : Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
  • Seniority Level : Leadership (Individual Contributor with Strategic Oversight)
  • Pay : up to $170k base - CAD
  • Incentives : up to 15% bonus + Stock-based award (equity)

Our client, a publicly traded, high-growth medical technology innovator is searching for a strategic, high-impact Director of Finance to join their mission to transform chronic care through AI-powered solutions. Responsibilities :

  • Lead the month-end and quarter-end close with precision, driving accuracy in reconciliations, financials, note disclosures, and MD&A prep.
  • Deliver sharp, story-driven financial reporting, variance analysis, and KPIs (think MRR, churn, customer metrics) to influence key decisions.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including revenue recognition (SaaS + hardware), AP, accruals, inventory, and equity accounting in a rapidly evolving product environment.
  • Build and evolve scalable processes, from automation to system implementation that set the foundation for our next phase of growth.
  • Develop dynamic forecast and scenario models that fuel strategic decision-making and investor confidence.
  • Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring high output with minimal friction.
  • Contribute cross-functionally, working closely with operations, R&D, and executive leadership to drive enterprise-wide alignment and execution.

Qualifications :

  • A CPA-designated finance leader with 4+ years of progressive experience, including either public audit or full-cycle accounting in complex environments
  • Experienced in US GAAP, with bonus points for public company reporting exposure
  • A master of Excel, modelling, and financial storytelling; comfortable being the go-to person for forecasts, board prep, and investor narratives
  • SaaS metrics are second nature : you understand MRR, churn, CAC, LTV, and how they drive business value
  • You know your way around NetSuite (QuickBooks a bonus)
  • Comfortable working remotely, independently, and cross-functionally in a fast-moving, agile team
  • Passionate about building, optimizing, and evolving, you're not afraid to get into the weeds to create long-term solutions
  • Healthcare, SaaS, or tech industry background = strong asset
  • Detail-obsessed, proactive, and energized by complexity, deadlines, and growth
