Role Overview
As the Director of Finance, you will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while driving strategic growth. Reporting to the CFO, you will manage accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow optimization. You will also support market expansion initiatives and analyze cryptocurrency ATM performance. This role requires a mix of financial expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to support our long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations and reports are completed accurately and on time, adhering to regulatory and accounting standards.
• Optimize cash flow management to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
• Implement cost control measures and identify efficiency improvements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reduce manual tasks.
• Coordinate external audits and prepare all required documentation for tax filings and compliance audits.
• Support quarterly and annual financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and long-term planning.
• In collaboration with senior leadership, establish ambitious financial and strategic goals for long and short-term success.
• Support expansion initiatives, including market entry into new regions and the launch of new financial products.
• Analyze the financial performance of cryptocurrency ATMs and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Partner with external and internal parties to enhance financial systems and processes.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team to support the company’s growth.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the finance department.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and other statutory obligations.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial risks.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to navigate the regulatory landscape of cryptocurrency transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation is required.
• Eight (8) + years progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Controller role.
• Strong understanding of financial management principles, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
• Experience with finance industry software along with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central and Prophix is an asset.
• Experience handling accounting operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
• Demonstrates humility, hunger for growth, and sound decision-making skills.
