Responsibilities
  • Ensure property financial operations comply with internal audit standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to support company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenditures.
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire the finance team to meet performance and operational goals.
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Promote financial literacy and empower team members through training and support.
  • Identify and report financial or operational risks and unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Select, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate finance department staff in accordance with company policies.
  • Lead the development and management of the annual operating budget, long-term forecasts, and capital planning.
  • Collaborate with department heads to assess the financial impact of business strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis reports.
  • Represent finance in cross-functional meetings and provide insights on key financial metrics.
  • Support subordinate finance positions as needed.
  • Complete special projects and additional responsibilities assigned by executive leadership.
  • Assist internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Attend corporate and property-level leadership meetings, financial reviews, and strategy sessions.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and create professional development plans for team members.
  • Evaluate and implement updates to financial systems, software, and other technologies.
  • Represent the finance department in strategic planning and operational discussions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or corporate leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in a finance leadership role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Proficient in financial management systems and software
  • High attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
