The Role: Are You Up for the Challenge?

StellarAlgo is the sports CDP that makes it easy to access and take action on fan data across teams and leagues, increasing fan engagement, revenue, and sponsorship opportunities. We seek high performers who are team-oriented, problem-solvers, and creative thinkers.

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Finance to play a key role in StellarAlgo’s financial operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting, overseeing the budgeting process, and supporting strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a CPA (Big 4 background preferred) with strong accounting expertise, critical thinking skills, and a proactive problem-solving approach. They will enhance financial processes, build relationships across the organization, and provide insights for executive decision-making.

What You’ll Do

  1. Lead financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decisions.
  2. Oversee accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with standards.
  3. Drive budget-to-actual reporting, providing insights to improve financial performance.
  4. Ensure GAAP compliance, document complex transactions, and develop accounting policies.
  5. Implement and update internal controls, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and risk management.
  6. Coordinate with external auditors during reviews and audits.
  7. Assist the CFO with key financial projects and initiatives.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights supporting business objectives.
  9. Build relationships across the organization to improve processes and provide financial guidance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
  • Minimum 5 years of financial management experience, overseeing accounting functions and managing budgets.
  • Experience in or with technology companies is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and forecasting; U.S. GAAP experience is a plus.
