Job summary

Hastings County is seeking a permanent, full-time Director of Facilities & Capital Infrastructure to oversee planning, operation, maintenance, and renewal of county facilities and infrastructure. This senior role reports to the CAO and collaborates with departments on asset management and capital projects.

The role requires a four-year degree, extensive facilities leadership experience, and strong budgeting, safety, and contract management skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year University Degree or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience in facilities/infrastructure/asset management.
• Ten years’ experience in facilities operations and construction project management.
• Five years’ experience in management of financial and infrastructure assets.
• Five years’ supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Municipal/Provincial/Federal acts and legislation for municipal buildings and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and coaching to staff on policies, legislation, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain facility infrastructure compliant with laws and codes.
• Direct strategic and business plans for resource prioritization and budgeting.
