Organizational context

The Société de transport de l’Outaouais is striving to make a cultural shift by offering high-performance sustainable public transit solutions that allow the population of Gatineau to get where they live, work, study, and play.

Responsible for the Facilities and Maintenance Department, your role will be to ensure the sound management of the organization’s assets: fleet of vehicles, buildings, equipment, terminals, bus shelters, signage, and grounds.

Your actions and leadership will strengthen the focus on customer satisfaction, team safety, and process efficiency.

The Strategic Plan will modernize the vision and actions and instill a mobilizing culture. The STO is a leading partner in the region, and the electrification and innovation projects will allow us to consider new ways of doing things.

Your mission :

  1. Change management for a team of employees.
  2. Develop performance indicators to optimize the department’s internal operations.
  3. Continue to develop processes for operational excellence in an environment where occupational health and safety is paramount.
  4. Participate as a member of the Directors’ Committee and in Board of Directors’ meetings.

Candidate profile

You have a university degree in business administration combined with 15 years of experience managing a mechanical maintenance department.

You are accustomed to working in a unionized environment and communicate your vision with enthusiasm. You have experience in a culture shift, understand the importance of listening, encouraging reflection to foster innovation, and trying new approaches that were previously considered impossible!
