Reporting to the VP, Construction and Engineering, the Director of Engineering is accountable for the detailed engineering and construction interfaces with the Skeena Gold and Silver's Eskay Creek infrastructure. This is a leading role to manage a cross-functional team of Skeena employees and Consultants, to deliver the Eskay Creek project engineering within time and budget expectations. This role will report to the VP, Construction & Engineering and will include significant interaction with Skeena’s Environmental & Regulatory Affairs team. Essential skills include EPCM/EPC project execution, holding teams accountable, strategic thinking, leadership, effective communication, interpersonal skills, integrity and transparency, cost control, planning/scheduling, key quantity tracking, estimating & document control, scheduling, reporting, estimating and budgeting for the Eskay Creek Revitalization project to ensure a cost effective and efficient delivery.
This role will be split between time spent at the Vancouver Corporate office and the Eskay Creek site in Northwest BC. A significant amount of time each month will be spent at site, and it is a requirement of this role. This job requires the incumbent to be able to work away from home and to be able to travel to different work locations or events outside of regular office hours as well as traveling to Skeena’s remote project sites to collaborate with internal and external parties.

The expected salary range for this position is CA$200,000 - CA$240,000, in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.
