The portfolio targets $1M–$1.5M annually through alumni, donors, and friends, with expected travel for engagements and events in Canada and beyond.

In support of our mission, the Director of Development, School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD), develops and implements revenue generating strategies and programs that identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward philanthropic donations from alumni, faculty/school, staff, and friends. The role reports to the Assistant Vice-President, Development & Campaigns, and is part of the central Advancement leadership team which is dedicated to fulfilling the philanthropic goals of York University. The role also jointly reports to the Dean and is the Advancement representative serving the Dean to achieve the faculty development and alumni goals. The role executes on revenue generating initiatives, external relations engagement, and stewardship activities. This role individually raises philanthropic dollars through 1:1 engagement and collaboratively works with their development upline to acquire transformational gifts.This portfolio is expected to raise $1M -$1.5M annually with incremental increases overtime. This role raises funds for the School's priority needs including, student support, capital, programming, and research in alignment with the University Academic Plan (UAP) and its Strategic Plan of AMPD. This position requires the candidate to produce a verification of degree(s), credentials(s), or equivalencies from accredited institutions and/or international equivalents at the time of interview. Regular travel for meetings, conferences, and events. Occasional travel outside of the GTA and Canada may be required for engagement of international donors and alumni.
