Job description

Pillway is transforming the digital pharmacy experience through data and innovation. As Director of Data & Analytics, you will lead our data strategy, infrastructure, and insights to support business growth and operational excellence across our healthcare platform.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Data & Analytics to lead our data function end-to-end. This person will oversee data infrastructure, governance, and analytics while driving business impact through data-informed decisions. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Pillway’s data and analytics function.

Build and manage modern data infrastructure using tools such as Snowflake, MS Fabric, Databricks, Power BI, etc.

Partner cross-functionally (Product, Marketing, Operations, Pharmacy) to drive data initiatives and KPIs.

Design and implement data governance and compliance frameworks (PHIPA, HIPAA, PIPEDA).

Oversee the development of dashboards, data products, and reporting layers for internal and external use.

Guide the integration of data across APIs, cloud services, CRM, and pharmacy systems.

Enable self-serve analytics capabilities for business teams.

Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts.

Lead the evaluation and adoption of AI/ML use cases to enhance personalization, predictive analytics, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related leadership roles.

Proven ability to architect and scale modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, MS Fabric, dbt, Airflow, Power BI).

Strong knowledge of data modeling, warehousing (ELT/ETL), and data lakes.

Experience with Python, SQL, APIs, and orchestration tools.

Track record of aligning data strategy with business goals and delivering measurable results.

Familiarity with regulatory and privacy frameworks (PHIPA, PIPEDA, HIPAA).

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

Prior experience in health tech, pharmacy, or other regulated industries.

Exposure to AI/ML pipelines and model deployment strategies.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse Analytics.
