SCOPE OF POSITION :
The Director, Communications is accountable for the creation and implementation of a strategic, multi-faceted communications program designed to build on and strengthen the Society’s role and reputation as a leader in its field. Skilled in change management and strategic communications, the Director supports the evolution of the membership structure, internally and with the broader membership. The Director oversees the coordination, quality control and delivery of publications and video presentation of educational materials, devises guidelines and policies, and provides quality control for communications programs, social media, and other media activities.
The Director is also responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the communications team which includes a Communications Specialist, Education Specialist, and Communications and Education Coordinator.
As a member of the CNPS senior leadership team, the Director, Communications collaborates with colleagues across disciplines to shape the direction and growth of the organization, oversees internal communications and liaises with stakeholders on a range of matters relating to the provision of CNPS services.
