Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced senior leader to join our team as Agency Coordinator. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing our family day home agency operations, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations, and maintaining high standards of home-based childcare.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the day home agency, including recruitment, training, and supervision of childcare consultants and 100+ day home educators.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with day home educators, families, provincial licensing officers, and community partners.
Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and standards set by provincial authorities.
Coordinate and facilitate training sessions and workshops for day home educators.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by day home educators.
Act as a senior resource and support for staff and day home educators, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
Support the Board of Directors, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of childcare services.
Ensure accurate records and documentation related to day home operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Early Child Education or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in childcare settings, including at least five years of managerial experience.
Alberta "Level 3" Early Childhood Educator certification, or eligibility for certification.
Detailed knowledge of Alberta childcare regulations and licensing requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to maintain and foster a positive “heart and mind” workplace culture where excellence, collaboration, and personal and professional development can thrive.
Strong administrative, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
(Knowledge of day home agency issues and considerations preferred).
(Financial management and marketing experience an asset).
