Current Opportunity: Director of Child & Adolescent Counselling

Contract: 1-year maternity cover contract

Location: Canada - flexible to be located anywhere in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, or Quebec.

Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid or remote depending on proximity to our Toronto or Montreal offices.

Requirement: Must hold a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, psychology, or a related subject.

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 CAD plus competitive benefits.

What you will do:

Workplace Options offers an exciting opportunity for a Director of Child & Adolescent Counselling. This role involves managing and providing clinical oversight and supervision for counselors within the designated team, reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer. Responsibilities include monitoring, reporting, quality assurance, educational support, administrative oversight, and ensuring ethical, competent services are provided to participants.

Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and address gaps within the program and propose enhancements.
  2. Support the transition of clinical team members to the Pediatric Care Team.
  3. Develop and implement training and operational documentation.
  4. Identify training needs to foster high performance.
  5. Conduct call audits and manage performance issues proactively.
  6. Coordinate care for high-risk and complex cases.
  7. Coach and consult on clinical interventions, case management, and integrating the Care Coach.
  8. Provide case consultations as needed.
  9. Oversee quality management activities and integrate quality improvements into daily operations.
  10. Establish KPIs aligned with department and company objectives.
  11. Monitor SLAs, case management systems, data analysis tools, and collaborate with other teams.
  12. Ensure clinical practices comply with local regulations and uphold high ethical standards.
  13. Engage with local directors on location-specific regulations.
  14. Lead or contribute to global, cross-functional initiatives and process improvements.
  15. Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  16. Maintain skills in crisis intervention and evaluate individual and family progress.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, psychology, or related field.
  • Fully licensed.
  • At least three years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a counseling or psychology setting.
  • Experience working with international organizations.
  • Proven managerial experience and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across teams.
  • Strategic, analytical, and investigative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision.
  • Experience with global organizations and cultural sensitivity.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and navigating international regulations.
  • Program management and evaluation expertise.
