Join our team as a Director of Care at Jarlette Health Services.

As a proud Canadian organization with 14 Long Term Care Homes and 8 Retirement Lodges across Ontario, we are industry leaders with over 50 years of experience in senior care.

Under the direction of the Administrator and as part of the home’s leadership team, the Director of Care will oversee all nursing care and services to ensure quality resident care and compliance with the Fixing Long Term Care Act.

Required Traits and Qualifications
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (O. Reg. 246/22, s. 51)
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in long-term care
  • At least three years of managerial or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership skills and positive interaction with residents, families, staff, and management
  • Experience coordinating CQI, risk management, occupational health and safety, infection control activities
  • Ability to develop, evaluate, and communicate goals, policies, and procedures to nursing staff
  • Proficiency with administrative software platforms
  • Diplomatic, able to work under pressure, and resident-centered
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, unionized settings, and labor contracts
  • Strong human relations skills and adaptability to LTC environment
