Are you a compassionate and strategic nursing leader ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors. We are seeking a dedicatedDirector of Care (DOC)to lead clinical operations at a well-established long-term care home in Surrey, BC.

As the DOC, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for planning, organizing, and evaluating care services to ensure the highest standards of resident-centered care. You will champion best practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and empower a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and inspire the care team in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Oversee the delivery ofclinical programs and services, ensuring compliance with professional, legal, and licensing standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape strategic direction and operational decision-making.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor care outcomes.
  • Mentor and support staff development, performance, and well-being.
  • Liaise with families, physicians, pharmacists, unions, contracted partners and external partners to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Manage departmental budgets and contribute to organizational planning.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred).
  • Current registration with the appropriate provincial regulatory body.
  • 5–7 years of recent experience in senior nursing leadership, preferably in gerontological care.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive quality outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
