Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency focusing on websites, SEO, and paid media for veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices. As Director of Business Development for Veterinary, you will own the largest multi-location deals from the first meeting to signed contracts.

One win covers many locations, so each deal is sizable and strategic. You will close complex deals with owners, regional operators, and marketing leaders.

Qualifications

• Record of closing $1M+ annual deals with multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling to veterinary groups or similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Own full cycle on large deals from discovery to close (3–12 months).
• Negotiate with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders.
• Expand accounts across locations and services after signing a deal.

No direct reports. This is an individual contributor seat going after strategic, multi-location veterinary accounts: large groups you open and close yourself.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency running websites, SEO and paid media for veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices. As Director of Business Development for Veterinary, you own our largest multi-location veterinary deals, from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. One win covers many locations, so each deal is large, multi-stakeholder and worth the work. Our sales development team and inbound put qualified meetings with these groups on your calendar, so your time goes to closing.

The seat

• $2M annual quota, carried on a small number of large accounts.
• Leads fed to you: meetings with veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices, booked by our sales development team or inbound.
• No management. No team to build, hire or run.
• Strategic accounts: veterinary groups with many locations, where one signed deal covers the whole group and opens the next.

What You Will Own

• The full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, over 3 to 12 months.
• Deals with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders all at the table.
• Expansion: more locations and more services once a group signs.
• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.

What You Bring

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling into veterinary groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers. If your background is high-volume, single-location or one-call transactional sales, this is a different job.
• You would rather close business than manage people.
