Job description

Our client is a leader in the transportation, logistics, and warehousing / distribution space. With decades of industry expertise, they specialize in serving enterprise clients throughout Canada and the United States with integrated solutions across the entire supply chain.

As a part of their next chapter of growth in one of their biggest markets, they are seeking a Director of Business Development (on-site in Etobicoke with travel) to join them in the GTA. In line with the company's entrepreneurial approach to business, this is a player-coach role where you will do strategic selling and have the opportunity to lead a team as the territory grows.

About You

  • 5-10 years of direct selling experience in the Transportation & Logistics industry; additional experience in Warehousing and Distribution is ideal.
  • Experience with FTL and OTR transportation solutions is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success with long, complex sales cycles and closing consultative deals with enterprise clients.
  • Strong track record of high performance in both net-new client acquisition as well as portfolio management and growth.
  • Experience selling into and travelling within the US is an asset.
  • Excellent research, communication, and presentation skills (over video and in-person).
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce CRM and WMS/TMS solutions.
  • Obsessed with providing high-quality customer service and building long-term relationships with customers based on integrity and trust.
  • Enthusiastic about spending time with your team on-site in Etobicoke when you aren't with customers.
