You will work closely with the President, in a spirit of rigour, transparency and alignment. This position requires a great ability to mobilize his team towards excellence, to stay on track on objectives, and to move projects forward in a structured and coherent framework. Here, strategic decisions are made in tandem, and execution is done in consultation.

Job Description

As a key member of the management team, the Director of Business Development is responsible for the commercial performance of the company. The position combines strategic, team management and direct involvement in the field, in an environment where rigor, collaboration and proximity to management are essential.

Strategic Leadership and Alignment

  • Work closely with the President to ensure alignment between sales, corporate vision, and growth objectives.
  • Monitor results rigorously and actively contribute to the development and adjustment of the business development plan.
  • To create the conditions for the team to progress with clarity, consistency and ambition.

Business Development and Field Execution

  • Be present in the field: support representatives, meet customers, and play an active role in prospecting and loyalty efforts.
  • Identify growth opportunities for both existing and new offerings.
  • Drive sales strategies based on the territories, objectives and capabilities of the team.
  • Participate in team meetings, support customer representatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate results and propose concrete adjustments.

Process management and internal collaboration

  • Optimize sales-related workflows, tools, and processes.
  • Ensure smooth communication between IT, development, projects and sales teams to strengthen cohesion and overall performance.
  • Participate in management meetings and actively contribute to strategic thinking.

Team Engagement and Development

  • Recruit, mentor and develop sales team members.
  • Establish a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Manage administrative aspects related to the team (timesheets, vacations, expenses, etc.) with rigor and consistency.

Customer relationship management and budget monitoring

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Manage sales budgets, track financial results, and contribute to the profitability of operations.
  • Participate in the fee structure and oversee expenses related to business activities.

Technical skills

  • University degree in administration, management or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience managing a sales team in IT or B2B services.
  • Significant experience in IT representation for SMEs or software development.
  • Good knowledge of the IT consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a budget and track performance indicators.
  • Proficiency in Linkedin Sales navigator
  • Proficiency in ConnectWise (a strong asset).
