Work environment

We have quickly adapted to the new reality and the majority of our employees are currently working based on a common hybrid work model. Employees can expect to work a combination of both remote and on site, with the frequency of each depending on the operational needs.

Education :

ED1 - Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in nursing, nursing service administration, nursing education or some other specialty relevant to the position.

Occupational Certification :

OC1 - Eligibility for registration as a registered nurse in a province or territory.

Experience : EX1 -

  • Significant experience in managing a team.
  • EX2 - Experience managing financial resources.

    EX3 - Experience in providing strategic advice and guidance to

  • Senior Management in regards to
  • complex issues.
  • EX4 - Experience in building partnerships and developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired by performing a broad range of various, complex activities associated with performing the full duties for a period of approximately 3 years.
  • Senior Management is defined as Director level or equivalent and above.
  • Complex issues are issues with at least two (2) of the following characteristics : multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, affecting many stakeholders, precedent setting, having a major impact on the department or having potential for significant media coverage.

    Asset Education :

    AED1 - Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Public Health Administration or other discipline relevant to the position.

    Asset Experience :

    AEX1 - Experience as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

    AEX2 - Experience in leading a change management or transformation initiative.

    AEX3 - Experience in working in a health care environment which provides services to Veterans or still serving CAF or RCMP members.

    AEX4 - Experience working in Health Care environment providing services to patients with Mental Health conditions.

    AEX5 - Experience as a Departmental representative on interdepartmental committees.
