Position Overview:

Job Description:
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and regulations.
- Provide clear leadership and direction to operational teams, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Manage day-to-day branch operations, including financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and goodwill settlements.
- Oversee contract execution, ensuring all commercial and operational commitments are met.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer and employee experience metrics.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Suncor, Caterpillar, and internal Finning stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal business units on customer experience strategies and best practices.
- Collaborate with account executives to deliver full-value solutions and drive customer loyalty.
- Prioritize and resolve customer concerns to enhance satisfaction, retention, and long-term value.
- Align Finning, Caterpillar, and customer resources to improve key equipment performance metrics (e.g., physical availability, mechanical availability, productivity).
- Co-develop and manage product support and equipment management processes at site.
- Provide strategic consultation to customer operations and maintenance leaders on equipment selection, performance, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure delivery of agreed-upon fleet performance metrics through collaborative planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- 12+ years of experience in customer-facing and operational roles, with at least 8 years in leadership.
- Strong background in mining or heavy equipment industries.
- Proven ability to lead in a unionized environment.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale operations and customer contracts.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and KPIs.
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity with a strategic mindset.
- Preferred:
- Deep knowledge of Caterpillar equipment, systems, and support processes.
- Experience with customer experience methodologies and CRM tools.
- Familiarity with mining operations, equipment performance metrics, and service delivery models.
Note:
- This position is based out of our Fort McMurray office location.
- Temporary, full-time role for 6 months with possibility for extension.
- Monday – Friday, 5 x 2 schedule.
