Job Overview:

Responsible for leading a team of Marketing Professionals to develop product category strategies and manage products throughout their product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with sales, engineering, finance, quality assurance, and operations to deliver winning products that support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide input to and contribute to the execution of the company’s long-term plan (LTP) within the Marketing department.
  2. Lead the marketing innovation process for the Give & Go thaw & sell bakery business, identifying new products to refresh existing categories, leveraging in-market insight and Ad Hoc research.
  3. Oversee the brand strategies and ensure consistent execution across the marketing mix.
  4. Work with your reports to build an activity-based budget with departmental leads regarding the management of marketing initiatives.
  5. Develop fact-based annual business plans leveraging category insights and consumer trends, identifying key issues with cross-functional groups.
  6. Implement marketing strategy and identify cost-effective and actionable solutions to serve Marketing business needs.
  7. Lead, coach, and develop personnel including providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations, to ensure having the right resource skills, competencies, and expertise to meet department and agreed-upon business objectives of the company.
  8. Provide leadership and coaching to Product Management staff regarding marketing strategies and product development.
  9. Work with the Marketing Team to create required documents and translate requirements into functional specifications for hand-over to internal and/or external technical teams and subject matter experts.
  10. Identify and develop needed policies and procedures for specific Marketing processes in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner.
  11. Support product and packaging development and assist with R & D trials and experiments.
  12. Continue to evolve Give & Go’s social media strategy and corporate website.
  13. Seek to understand the competitive landscape and establish plans to address competitive challenges.

Recipe for Success:

  1. Completion of university degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field of study.
  2. Minimum 7 years of marketing experience, launching new products from concept to execution.
  3. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing a marketing staff.
  4. Seeking a strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex situations, anticipate challenges, and develop innovative solutions that align with our company goals.
  5. Preferred 10 years’ marketing experience within the Food Manufacturing industry.
