Reports to: Chief Supply Chain Officer

Location: New Westminster, BC

Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX: As the Director, Manufacturing, reporting to our SVP, Global Supply, you will oversee all aspects of our apparel end-to-end manufacturing operations at ARC’One, our manufacturing facility in New Westminster, Canada. Your focus is on developing the long-term strategic vision and leading the transformation and scaling of our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with leaders across Raw Materials, Sourcing, Product Creation Development, Quality, and other teams to shape cohesive strategies. You are responsible for the P&L of the facility and will drive operational excellence in collaboration with our finance team.

Your team manages daily operations including Engineering, Production, re-manufacturing (reBird), quality, Continuous Improvement, and Maintenance. As the manufacturing leader, you will ensure excellence in product quality, delivery, repair services, cost efficiency, and order fulfillment. You will coach and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, craftsmanship, and cross-functional collaboration. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and implementing advanced manufacturing opportunities across our global supply network.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Develop and lead the long-term strategic vision for ARC’One manufacturing operations, aligning with global growth and operational excellence goals.
  • Provide leadership across all manufacturing functions, ensuring cross-functional alignment and operational synergy.
  • Lead organizational strategic initiatives and act as a thought leader in manufacturing.
  • Create and implement strategies that support long-term growth and operational efficiency.
  • Set performance targets and KPIs, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Creation, Sourcing, Raw Materials, and Quality teams to identify advanced manufacturing opportunities.
  • Improve new product introduction processes in line with commercialization timelines.
  • Partner with Creative, Design, and Product Development teams to pilot innovative concepts for rapid market readiness.
  • Lead the expansion of Recommerce and Repair programs, supporting sustainability and circular economy initiatives.
  • Manage the P&L and financial targets of ARC’One, focusing on quality, efficiency, and cost metrics.
  • Optimize capacity through process improvements, data-driven product strategies, and workforce planning.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing manufacturing leadership team and develop a talent pipeline.
  • Oversee key business transformation projects, including SAP implementation and shop floor systems integration.

Experience, education, and skills:

  • 12+ years in product development and production operations, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of the product lifecycle and manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record in establishing and maintaining excellent manufacturing standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Arc’teryx products and processes is preferred.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and project management skills.
  • Initiative, agility, and commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a focus on root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Able to inspire innovation and continuous improvement.

The estimated annual salary range is CAD$149,000 - CAD$186,000, determined by experience, skills, and qualifications. The upper end is reserved for candidates with exceptional expertise or transferable experience.
