Arnold Bros. Transport Ltd. (ABT) seeks a Director, Linehaul Operations to lead a 24/7 network from the Winnipeg head office. This senior role reports to the COO and provides hands-on leadership across dispatch, planning, and customer service with ~27 direct reports.

The incumbent will champion a driver‑first culture, drive cost efficiency and KPIs, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Sales on opportunities and major RFPs while guiding strategy and technology improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive transportation operations leadership in a carrier or linehaul environment.
• Ability to lead large 24/7 operations and develop frontline staff.
• Driver-first mindset with credibility across drivers and leadership.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with budget and KPI experience.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and freight planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Own 24/7 planning, dispatch, and operational execution of the linehaul network.
• Lead and develop Dispatch, Planning, Customer Service, and Logistics leaders.
• Manage budgets, drive cost efficiency, and monitor KPIs on service levels.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and collaborate with Sales on opportunities.
• Contribute to strategy, policy, and technology improvements.
• Foster a driver-first culture and direct engagement with frontline staff.
