Job summary

David Aplin Recruiting is seeking a Legal Talent Director to lead recruitment, development, engagement, retention, and career progression for associates and law students within the Dispute Department. This senior role works closely with the Department Chair, Practice Group Leaders, and Practice Director to align talent programs with the firm’s strategy.

Qualifications

• JD or Bachelor’s degree in Law, depending on the jurisdiction.
• At least 5 years of experience practicing law in a law firm.
• Experience in Legal Talent, or an interest in building a career in this area, with a background in recruitment and/or professional development.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent project, time management, administrative, and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects.
• A strong advocate for DEI, wellbeing, and performance.
• Bilingualism is considered an asset.
