Job summary

Province of Nova Scotia is seeking a Director, Business Supports and Legal Operations to lead operational strategy and governance for legal services across government. The role focuses on systems, standards, workflows, and data-driven decision making to improve service delivery to Nova Scotians.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business or public administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Substantial leadership and management experience in a complex, high-accountability organization.
Experience applying operations, case management, information management, and technology in professional services or government contexts.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead an operational strategy aligning with divisional priorities.
Improve case management, information management, reporting, and digital tool adoption.
Establish policies, standards, and measures to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
Align resources and processes with client-service needs and priorities.
Oversee budgeting, procurement, and sustainable funding approaches.
Build strong relationships across legal, operational, and government partners.
