Position Summary

We seek a strategic, forward-thinking Director, Learning and Development to lead enterprise-wide initiatives fostering a culture of continuous learning, leadership excellence, and employee growth. This role will shape the learning strategy organization-wide, ensuring impactful, engaging, and future-ready development opportunities for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Development

  • Design and implement a best-in-class onboarding experience to accelerate integration and engagement.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure a consistent, inclusive onboarding journey.
  • Develop and manage scalable learning programs supporting skill development, career progression, and performance.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and leverage data insights to close capability gaps.
  • Create and curate diverse learning content, including digital, in-person, and blended formats.

Leadership Development

  • Lead the design and execution of leadership development programs for all levels, from emerging leaders to senior executives.
  • Partner with senior leaders and HR to align learning initiatives with business strategy, succession planning, and talent development.

Strategic Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Learning & Development team.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure impact and ROI of learning initiatives.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative practices and technologies into the learning ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven success in designing and delivering onboarding and leadership programs.
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset, especially for Quebec interactions.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and digital platforms.
  • A collaborative, continuous improvement mindset with a passion for empowering others.

Note: This position is posted in Montreal, Toronto, and Winnipeg. Bilingualism (French and English, oral and written) is required for Quebec due to frequent interactions.
