What is the Opportunity?

As Director and Lead Solution Architect within the Operational Effectiveness (OE) group in Personal & Commercial Operations (PCO), you will collaborate with OE and PCO partners, business stakeholders, and IT to lead the design of end-to-end solution architecture for complex transformational and optimization initiatives. Your main responsibilities include creating solution approaches, rationalizing solutions, enhancing resiliency, communicating solutions effectively, and guiding delivery teams during implementation.

What will you do?

  • Lead the Solution Architecture team in designing solutions for complex transformational and optimization initiatives, aligning with organizational strategies and objectives.
  • Provide expertise on software design and system architecture issues to colleagues and partners.
  • Ensure the delivery of OE architecture artifacts, such as solution blueprints and decision documents.
  • Improve resiliency across the OE portfolio and deliver current and North Star Architecture.
  • Develop a roadmap to achieve the North Star Architecture based on team-defined goals and business cases.
  • Monitor industry and internal trends relevant to team deliverables.
  • Retain and develop existing talent and recruit new team members as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in Information Technology Development and Architecture roles.
  • Proven experience designing resilient enterprise applications on On-Premises and Cloud platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture/design techniques such as Automation, SOA/Microservices, REST/SOAP, Cloud Native applications, Event-Driven Architecture, Data Pipelines, and familiarity with modern and legacy technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with large-scale transformational projects involving straight-through processing, digitization, or AI solutions.
  • Leadership experience in cross-functional teams.
