Job description

We are seeking a Director, Information Security Platform to join our team in Toronto or Winnipeg. The Director, Information Security Platform will play a critical leadership role in strengthening and advancing the cybersecurity capabilities of People Corporation. This position is responsible for overseeing the integration and optimization of security technologies, processes, and managed services to ensure the organization’s information assets are effectively protected.

The Director, Information Security Platform will:

• Cybersecurity Leadership: Lead the development and deployment of advanced cybersecurity controls to safeguard the organization’s digital assets.
• Program Development: Design and execute comprehensive cybersecurity programs that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement new tools and capabilities to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
• Threat Detection & Response: Drive improvements in security monitoring and response technologies to ensure rapid threat identification and mitigation.
• Vendor & Platform Management: Oversee cybersecurity platforms, vendors, and services to maximize performance and value.
• Industry Awareness: Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to keep the organization protected.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on program status and key security issues to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the security platform team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and security awareness.

• Technical & Business Acumen: Deep expertise in cybersecurity (cloud, network, application) with the ability to bridge technical and business domains, translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work with diverse teams, driving security integration into system architecture and fostering a security-first culture across the organization.
• Judgment, Integrity & Risk Management: Strong ethical decision-making, prioritizing business integrity, compliance, and proactive risk management in all security initiatives.
• Resilience & Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrating initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities and evolving threats with minimal oversight.

All-star candidates will have:

• 10+ years in program management with a focus on cybersecurity and vendor risk mitigation.
• 8-10+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or IT operations outsourcing management, ideally within the financial services sector.
• At least 5+ years of senior leadership experience overseeing security technology programs.
• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in applications, networking, cloud infrastructure, and understanding of attacker tactics and cyber frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS, MITRE).
• Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in the financial services sector with a solid understanding of security practices and compliance requirements.
